Hi, I'm Parvez.

I started out in 1996 teaching programming at NIIT in Hyderabad, after a degree in mechanical engineering. Within a few years I was writing Java for a living, and I've built on it ever since: commodity trading systems for clients in Geneva and Zug, a hospital information system used by hospitals in India and Singapore, and order and payment platforms for Verizon.

Along the way the work moved from code to systems to people. I've designed cloud architectures on Azure and AWS, moved large products from application servers to Spring Boot microservices, built the CI/CD pipelines that ship them, and led teams of up to 30 engineers. Today I'm an Engineering Manager at Innova Solutions.

What I care about most sits in between: architecture decisions a team can stand behind, delivery that's calm and predictable, and engineers who grow into leaders. I teach an enterprise architecture masterclass on the Indian School of Business technical leadership programme, and I've run training and mentoring wherever I've worked.
